After a lot of urge from the Indian Cellular Association (ICA), the Indian Government has finally banned the illegal devices that use invalid IMEI number. The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number is a unique 15 or 17 digit code assigned to every cell phone handset. The ban comes as an unpleasant news to all those who with China cell phones as these mobile phones do not always have an authentic IMEI code.

So What Really Is IMEI Code?
